Jenna O’Connell began working in the sunless tanning industry at age 16, one of our youngest to date! She joined the team at Blush Tan (Blushtan™) in Worcester, Massachusetts, where at the time she was simply looking for a high school job.
Today we are welcoming our first happytans guest from Hawaii, Stefani Pierce! She owns Spray Tans by Stefani, which is housed in Oahu, Hawaii. Being located in a tour-heavy town, she has a unique perspective on some of the challenges she has experienced within this industry based on her location.
Jordan Bell joins us today from Southlake, Texas, which is located between Dallas and Fort Worth. Jordan had experience as a spray tan technician, however, she took a leap for a management position at Smart Bronze and the rest is history! Carissa Serylo owns SprayChic in Wixom, Michigan! She entered this industry following a major shift in her personal life. Through a series of circumstances, she was introduced to spray tanning and began building her business in a home-based setting. After ten successful years in the industry, Carissa shares her pride about her current location, how her business has grown over the years, and the changes she underwent to meet her goals!
When Drew Spurgers purchased his business in 2015 from desperate owners looking to escape the industry, he did not anticipate providing sunless tanning services as the business had done previously.

From the first communication to creating my website and all that is needed to purchase the domain Happy Tans' team guided me through. Knowledgeable, professional, and so friendly. This was an amazing experience because I have tried building my own website before with a different platform, and it was really complicated and didn’t have the look that I wanted. One of the best decisions I have made with my business! Grant, Gary and the team have done such a great job with setting up my website and listening to all of my ideas. When I have questions about integrating other platforms to my website, they respond very quickly and give me resources to improve my business. I'm not tech savvy so when I started with other website companies it was very difficult for me and I became very frustrated. My biggest advice if you are deciding DIY versus Happytans to create your website is to just have them do it! I attempted DIY first but honestly it took so much time and there was definitely a learning curve. With that being said, once I threw in the towel and upgraded for them to take care of creating my website, they did not disappoint!
